STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

SHOEMAKER FAMILY FOUNDATION

Cambridge, Nebraska

    

1.    To use the resources of the Foundation to provide charitable assistance to organizations in rural Nebraska, the part of the country where Ome and Honor Jane Richards Shoemaker came from and which is far from the urban areas which are more readily able to access charitable dollars than is rural Nebraska. 

2.    To use the resources of the Foundation to provide charitable assistance to organizations in rural Nebraska, focusing on health care, education, and rural development, with the intention of making an impact on the viability and economic vitality of the non-urban areas of Nebraska, and in     support of institutions and people who provide services and foster relationships which will assist in meeting the other goals of the Foundation.
